Nonprofit Executive Director Search

Finding the right Executive Director or high-level staff person requires a deep understanding of a nonprofit organization’s mission, culture and values, as well as excellent communication skills, and deep nonprofit experience. Few experiences provide better preparation for recruiting high-level staff than serving as an Executive Director or Interim Executive Director for a nonprofit organization. That experience is particularly helpful in being able to communicate with Executive Director job candidates on a peer level.

Jeff provides complete nonprofit Executive Director Search Services, including pre-transition planning; working with a nonprofit organization’s board, staff and others to create a search profile; designing and carrying out an outreach strategy; screening and recommending candidates; working with the Search Committee to develop a good interviewing process; checking references and credentials, and negotiating a completed offer. All search processes come with a one-year guarantee: If the candidate does not work out, we will conduct another thorough  search to find a replacement.
